Information

The Webasto Fuel Burning Heater (FBH) has two basic functions, an auxiliary heater to assist engine warm up after the engine is started, and a parking heater, to warm the engine while static and without the key in the ignition. FBH fitted to vehicles such as MG Rover and Land Rover are fitted with an additional water pump controlled by the FBH, allowing the FBH to be also used as a parking heater. FBH fitted to vehicles such as BMW and Audi, are not fitted with the additional water pump, relying upon the vehicles engine water pump to circulate water through the FBH.
Controlling the FBH as a parking heater has several options, by a remote key fob, or using a mobile phone, and can include automatic timed cabin heater fan operation. After the FBH has been running for 5 minutes, the AC/CC/ATC will turn on automatically until shut down with the key fob, or shuts down after an elapsed time using GSM. The GSM allows master and slave phone registration to the GSM to prevent unauthorised FBH operation.

FBH faults can be varied and include fuel dosing pump, air-fan, water circulation pump, glowplug/flame sensor, ceramic and stainless burner chamber mesh, and printed circuit board (PCB).
